  1. Posts must be publicly posted on the Facebook page and be accessible without a Facebook account.
  2. Posts cannot be deleted for the length of time that the Crestfallen Facebook page remains online.
  3. Scott must be added as a contributor to all elements, events, documents, and so forth for all contributions he made, both past and future.

These statements can be rewritten in the staff’s own words to match the tone, but they should contain the same content and would need to be approved by me before they would be sufficient for me to work with Crestfallen again.

Vince’s Lies

We regret to inform you that the Crestfallen staff was misled, which caused harm to one of our own.

Years ago, during a NERO LARP event run by Vince Errico and Sherri Errico, Scott Bennett was writing in a journal that he kept at the time. Vince believed that Scott was plagiarizing his event and verbally abused Scott. The NERO ARGO staff took no action at the time, and no warning was given. This was not our event, but it would be unacceptable at Crestfallen.

Vince then spread rumors about Scott Bennett to others in the community, claiming that Scott Bennett was a plagiarist. These lies were known by the Crestfallen staff and were not publicly addressed. This was wrong of us.

Scott Bennett is not a plagiarist and has never stolen from any LARP runners. The lies that Vince Errico spread about him are unfounded, and the Crestfallen staff are deeply sorry for perpetuating and condoning this kind of behavior.

In the future, Crestfallen will address this issue sooner and more directly and will resolve it in a fair and responsible manner. If you hear a rumor about our game, our game runners, or our content team, please (insert policy here).

Sherri’s Attack on Scott

On November 5, 2023, at a Crestfallen event, Vince Errico verbally abused Michael Fife, a beloved friend of the Crestfallen staff who famously played the NERO character Michael Cutlass and ran excellent modules at NERO Elkins. For this behavior, Vince received a one-event ban.

During the staff meeting to discuss this matter, players were invited to give context and weigh in. Sadly, because of her previous relationship with Vince, Sherri Errico (Vince Errico’s ex-wife), the Crestfallen second in command, vice president, logistics lead, and rules editor, was unable to remain calm during this meeting and defended Vince’s behavior toward Mike. Additionally, she lost her patience with Scott Bennett. When Sherri lost her patience, she insulted Scott’s character and judgment, and the remainder of the Crestfallen staff let her untrue statements stand.

The Crestfallen staff should have followed up with the involved players to apologize for both incidents. This conduct should never have occurred at all, let alone in front of others.

In the future, Crestfallen will not tolerate verbal abuse, and we are sorry that this happened. If you ever experience harassment or abuse in a Crestfallen setting, please (insert policy steps here).
